Gurudwara Burnt to Ashes in London

Gurudwara Sikh Sangat was burnt to ashes in London by racists and Sikhs heart cried at the thought of Holy scriptures of Guru g.

Granth Sahib being burnt inside it. According to eyewitnesses they saw the suspect a black man or mixed race American, leaving the Gurudwara as soon as fire erupted.

The Gurudwara is situated in Harley Grove, Bow, East London. The fire broke out on the first floor where a women-only prayer session was being held.

The building of Gurudwara Sikh Sangat was built in 1854 and was formerly synagogue and before that a Chapel. Gurudwara was opened in 1979 and has been a vital part of the London’s Sikh community.

A Gurudwara is burnt in London but no media coverage and its not in any main news in London. That makes the media role questionable or not?

This is very shameful to attack a holy place and hurt sentiments of a particular community.English Govt.should take it seriously action against the culprits.It is sick mind work

I would say to the sikhs protect your Gurudwaras by placing security cameras. when you have such old , priceless books inside, protect them.

This is not racial issue, this is a religious discrimination. Just imagine how media would have reacted if a church was burnt in India!!

I strongly condemn this shameful act of targetting religious places and holy books by evil doers. They are not going to stop with this and better for UK police to nab such people right away and give the most severe punishment.
